Royal wedding: Felipa of Bavaria and Christian Dienst

Princess Felipa of Bavaria, daughter of Prince and Princess Leopold, will marry her long time companion, film producer Christian Dienst on Saturday.  They will wed in a Roman Catholic setting at the Wieskirche am Pfaffenwinkel, with a reception to follow at Schloss Hohenschwangau.

A real Wittelsbach princess will celebrate her wedding at one "of the most famous castles of her ancestors!"

More than 360 guests are expected to attend the wedding, says the bride's mother, Princess Ursula, who is known as "Uschi."  Princess Felipa's brother, Prince Manuel, and his wife, Princess Anna of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, will be among the guests.  Their two young children, Princess Alva, and Prince Leopold, will be the flower children.

Princess Anna's brother, Prince Carl-Albrecht and his bride, Camilla, will also be at the wedding.  Princess Felipa and Christian Dienst danced at their wedding, according to the report, the Merkur, a local German newspaper.

Queen Silvia was to attend the wedding, but has sent her regrets due to the recent death of the King's uncle, Count Carl Johan Bernadotte af Wisborg.  She and King Carl XVI Gustav are close friends of Prince Leopold.

Princess Felipa, 31, will wear a white wedding dress designed by Munich designer Natascha Müllerschön.  Her mother, Uschi, will wear a a dress for the church ceremony "and a coat in soft purple, and of course, a matching hat."

The bride and the groom will have six witnesses each, all best friends.   Princess Uschi calls her future son-in-law, Christian, 34, a "godsend  He is very balanced."

She expects the newlyweds to start a family.  "Felipa loves children.  She works at a daycare center in Munich.  Now we hope for good weather for the couple in a fabulous setting."
